We’re a friendly and passionate scale modelling club based in the North West of England, proudly affiliated with the International Plastic Modellers Society IPMS (UK).

Who We Are

Our growing membership spans all areas of scale modelling, from aircraft and armour to vehicles, figures, and science fiction. Whether you’re a beginner, an experienced modeller, or a seasoned expert, you’ll find a warm welcome here.

What We Do

We meet monthly in Westhoughton in a relaxed and supportive environment. Meetings feature model displays, hands-on demonstrations, and engaging talks on modelling techniques and historical topics. We also run regular club competitions and challenges, including our flagship annual build contest.

Events and Exhibitions

Bolton IPMS is active in the wider modelling community. We host the Bolton IPMS Model Show, widely regarded as the UK’s premier one-day modelling exhibition. Our members also exhibit at events across the country, including the internationally renowned Scale Model World.
